Day 2 - in limbo

Ok, the sink is still shiny, but I haven't gone into Baby Step 2 officially. I got sidetracked with getting ready for my Mom's visit over the holidays.....soooo, I decided that I will resume Flylady officially with Day 2 on January 4th, when the kids go back to school (Mom goes back to FL on the 3rd).

Until then, I'll keep reinforcing the shiny sink rule, which has not lapsed that much, even with Mom's visit.

Baby Steps Day 1 - my sink is shining!

So, the first baby step for Flylady is to shine your sink. I'm not really sure what the logic is behind this, but apparently, this is how Flylady started, so I'll start there, too. I did not do all the steps that she stated (hot water with bleach, waxing, etc.), but it's still pretty shiny and best of all it's CLEAN.

I've issued a memo to everyone in the household that dirty dishes go straight into the dishwasher (which will be emptied by me every morning), and that if you use a pot or pan to cook something, clean it up right then, and put it in the drying rack. Bottom line - NO DISHES IN THE SINK. PERIOD. DOT. DONE. END OF STORY.

Soooo, day one is done. Tomorrow, I'll post Day 2.
